We all welcome a new year with a lot of expectations and see off it with a lot of frustrations.

You are descending On the golden carpet Of tiny dusts Springing blessings.......I am reading it late still I take me back to the moment enjoy the spirit embodied in it...10

I agree with your other readers below: this is a fresh, affirmative New Year poem, opening the next twelve months to the most positive view of the time all of us will share. What struck me strongly was the absence of egoism: you do not write about your resolutions, your needs. Throughout the poem you want best possible events for the whole - all of us who are celebrating this beginning. And the prayer ending it, which moved Susan to pray with you, also shows a faith in larger forces than just us. In a sense, what you are asking for has already been achieved - in your pure heart and the equally pure hearts of this who share your point of view and poetic vision. Count me in that company!
