What Drugs Will Do To You Poem by Dave Alan Walker

What Drugs Will Do To You

Rating: 4.7

They will show you
distorted images
of what you can become

The peace and tranquility
you once knew will soon disappear
to make way for madness and a death wish

You'll be left with a head full
of changing faces
with paranoia all around

Drugs are like a Leopard
that can't change it's spots
they will stay the same
but you may just die in pain

The choice is yours

Thanks for your comment to my Hangover poem. Which echoes your one! I've been around long enough to see what drink and drugs can do, it ain't pretty Dave. Good poem.

There is no other better way to say it, drug ruins. A word is enough for the wise. Nive job

Great indictment Mr. Walker, with great metaphors to contextualize the horrors of an addictive substance. A message for addicts trapped in the chase of the leopard that eats them

Illegal drugs can destroy communities and uproot families. They can put you in a trance so high you feel you can't come down or you don't know how to get down from it! Stay far away from it and keep it out of your lives. No good comes from it. Very inspiring write.
