When It Is My Time To Go - Poem by Amanda Lukas

When it is my time to go,
be it today or be it tomorrow,
in the night or day.
Let me be remembered with smiles -
do not grieve the traditional way.

Please laugh when you remember
the happy moments we shared.
Let yourself remember
That when I died, I was prepared.

Please let me be remembered with smiles,
do not grieve by shedding tears.
If you smile and remember the good times,
my love, I will live for years.

(In remembrance of my mother)
