When Life Takes Its Toll Poem by Tia Maria

When Life Takes Its Toll

Rating: 5.0

Everyday I am so eternally grateful
So many things to be thankful for
My breakfast, lunch and dinner
though I usually dine alone
For this place I have to live
that does not feel like home
For all those gadgets & things
although the phone seldom rings
Those drives into the country
even with just me for company
And for the roof over my head
as I lay here alone in my bed
