When Silence Speaks Poem by Bill Cantrell

When Silence Speaks

Rating: 5.0

The cemetery trees whisper
at the emptiness of a given prayer
The subconscious speaks,
though I'm unaware

A smell ignites a time in my past
Déjà vu is whispering, I've been here before
Butterflies in my stomach is saying beware
The wind sings a song while blowing my hair

Loneliness cries inside, deep within
A stare with a smile is saying hello
One language all speak, as everyone knows,
such are the ways of the whispering souls
