Where does love go, after it's done?
Does it hide itself away?
In darkest nights, in brightest days,
Clinging to dark, the light it shuns.
Where does love go, after it dies?
To darkened corners solitaire?
In a shadowed musty lair,
And there alone it cries.
Where does love go, when the fire dies out,
And all the world's in a stygian gloom?
Suffering somewhere in a lonely room,
Filled with hurt and lingering doubt?
But sometimes, love will ages linger,
And though time passes it remains.
Through all the misery and pains.
Not caring for who points the finger
Love sometimes never leaves your heart,
Though years go by it stays.
In darkest nights, in brightest days,
It chooses never to depart.

If it is true love it does not go anywhere, but it stays forever in the hearts. Nice poem! Juan Olivarez! very inquisitive!
Beautiful poem, Juan. Where does love go? I am not so sure myself but It makes me think a bit of it like a water-shortage in some Malaysian cities. We have here equatorial rains but still some cities suffer water shortages. Has to do with the piping. Water abundantly around but not channeled properly for our beneficial use. I love the final stanza in the poem very much. Perhaps indeed it never leaves our heart. Let's let it flow to our minds and souls. Excellent thought provoking poem.
Deep, beautiful thoughts, so true. I do like the rhyming scheme you've used here also, it surely adds to the flow of feelings. Very good!

True love lives in the heart forever. It gives and takes all that life throws at it. Lovely poem with good rhyming 10/10
