Why Dreams Escape Me? Poem by M. Asim Nehal

Why Dreams Escape Me?

Rating: 5.0

The silence of this night
Where slumber yowls
To rest the body
The mind goes for a walk
Long enough
But to return
At short call
To meet the dreams
And refresh the thoughts
Today, why these dreams escape me?
Where is the face of my life?
I crossed the moonlit waters
Yesterday we met here,
My loneliness crossed the bridge of stars
And with heavy heart
I run now from post to pillars
Oh, escapist! Appear now
Before the morning finds me
And my body calls me back……

The expression of this poem is like a dew from midnight cry, so pure and cold.. Why dream escape you while you are engaging to the world If you could close your eyes for few more seconds And let the imaginations to conquer your mind So dream will visit again, will be there again And from midnight to early morning Or morning to midnight It still be there, to company As long as the reality is what you leaving As long as this is the beauty that the world doesnt have And you want it here to be..

Beautiful! Written very well. Our dreams are the last resort to our escape and the despair of a poet not to be able to find that shelter hits the poetic imagination so beautifully. Thanks for sharing. A 10

When life is full of greed how can dreams remain. A correct description of human situation where life is artificial and dreams are elusive.10
