Some branches stay strong
during a soft breeze
But breaks down when there
is a storm
Everything seems to be deserted
and dead
But why you forget the
deep roots
Which always stay close
When everything withers and
is gone
It gives a new hope
And a new beginning to life
Slowly it grows to give
shade and flowers
You are not alone then why
these tears for the lost
This should be the attitude. Never lose hope. There is always scope for a new beginning. So, why these tears. Thanks, Rini.
A piece of work with great substance! Thanks dear Rini for sharing.......10
One should not tear for the lost as It gives a new hope and a new beginning to life. A beautiful poem nicely executed.10
Nature is like that. When you see the entire tree lost in a storm, you forget the roots under ground, that can germinate again. You forget the tiny seeds that will grow into a tree tomorrow. As Malayalam poet has written in the famous poemപാവം മാനവഹൃദയം, (paavam maanavahrudhayam”) we tend to forget the ills of the past very fast, rejoice even on a hint of a green shoots. That is how we are... Good one, this poem.
