Wind Wails Poem by Unnikrishnan Sivasankara Menon

Wind Wails

Rating: 4.9

Sandy beach with shining shells
somewhere in the deep, the sea monster yells
water roars and waves raise their hands
to hug the wailing winds, like magic wands.

Wind, that is controlled by by the ghostly hands of the sun, the moon, the earth falls over the ocean to hug his beloved, but fails but for a touch by his parched fingers. The wails of wind reverberate across the oceans…

I like the contrast between the sea monsters and the wave that raises its hand to remind us of the shining shells it has left on the beach! I want to hug the wailing Wind!
