The trees in my backyard
Have been stripped of
Their crowning glory
And lovely armor,
Absolutely naked,
From winter's grip.
They are like dancers
Swaying with the winter wind,
Showing to the whole world
Their strength, grace and beauty,
Despite pain and suffering.
