Wrong People - Poem by Anna Dietze

Let people in and see what’s inside
You never know until you see
Confusion, pain, sorrow
Emotional scars
Let the right people in
They soothe your scars
Let the wrong people in
They add salt to the wounds
Forever stinging
Anger wanting to get out
Crack down the middle-top to bottom
Broken and not able to be fixed
That’s what happens
When you let the wrong people in
