Yesterday Still Lives Today Poem by Sandra Feldman

Yesterday Still Lives Today

Rating: 5.0

Tears come easy
When in love,
And you can't have
What you can't have,
Desperate moments,
Come and go
As live illusions,
Do escape thru
Every door.

Hopeless, half-way
Smiles,
Do travel miles
When roads of sadness
Are their guides...

To find, yet know
There is no way
To reach
The ghosts of yesterday,
In shattered dreams
That still live on
As burningly,
As does the Sun!

A poignant and touching poem. The four opening lines immediately struck the heart and elicit sadness. Yes, yesterday still lives because of the indelible marks brought about by sadness....memories that keep on burning on one's heart and soul. Beautifully written. Onto my Poem List.
