Yoga 10 - Honesty & Contentment Poem by Geeta Radhakrishna Menon

Yoga 10 - Honesty & Contentment

Rating: 5.0

A Yogic aspirant,
Through constant perseverance,
Having firmly established
The sublime virtue of
Honesty and contentment,
Gains the good luck of
All lustrous gems falling at his feet!
Does this mean that precious stones like
Diamonds, rubies, emeralds and sapphires
Are showered around such a virtuous person?

It means
When a Yogi conquers all desires
Through the practice of Yoga
He has all the wealth within him!
Though, he is offered
The wealth of this world!
He remains immune to any kind of temptations.
His mind glows with jewels of wisdom,
His intellect shines with super power,
His heart flows with abundant love!

The inner self now shines brighter
Than any precious jewel!
The Yogi is mysteriously aware of
The hidden treasures below the earth,
And has inner perception of
The wealth all around him,
Yet, he does not desire it
Neither does he pursue it
He is simply aware of it
And enjoys its presence as a sublime witness!
