Behind the lustrous locks,
Beneath the hard skull,
The brilliant brain -
The amazing creation,
The cosmic intelligence,
Intriguing,
Interesting,
Invaluable,
An assent that cannot be
Replaced,
Misplaced,
By anything or anyone!

Brain - the seat of intelligence
The potentiality to know
The vital organ of the body
Billions of microscopic nerve cells
The Neurons!
Highly specialized nerve cells
That can receive and send information
Tiny pulses of electricity-
Nerve impulses,
Nerve signals,
Much faster than any electronic media
Or even a computer!

Brain- a precious organ,
The greatest gift given to mankind,
Of ascertainment,
Of discernment,
Of differentiation
Of decisions!
Unbelievable capacity
To distinguish
Between the right and wrong,
Between the good and bad!
To absorb the noble
To discard the ignoble!

Yoga teaches to activate the brain
To realize its capacity and potential
Yet, few are the wise men
Who make a profound choice!
The wavering, scattered mind
Never pauses to sit still,
Think and ponder,
To make the right move!
The peripheral embellishments
Just a temporary phenomenon,
The idiosyncrasies,
That leaves man far behind the real truth!
