House corners sing a wind song to the blues.
The air randomly flows with shadow trees.
You come to me across the fading fields.
The passion in your tired face lights the dusk.
I want to tell you, though you bring no flower,
That I have all I wanted from the fall,
But you press your hand hard against my mouth.
The moment is too simple for much speech.
You need not know I memorize you, Friend
Down to the missing buttons on your coat
For wisdom tells me all you have to give
Is written in the clean lines of the moon.
Sandra you write some of the most beautiful verse your work is what eyes were created for 10 Chris
This lovely poem is tenderness, grace and dignity all combined to weave together an unforgettable moment in time for the protagonists and the reader. Thanks.
memoirs still blaze the love in unison as the halcyon days hides into shadow latching on to the memory lane yet the resonace suffuses by the remembrance..........................wonderful poem when poignant the remniscence, love still unditterd in resilience, great write,10++, thanks dear Sandra.
‘For wisdom tells me all you have to give/Is written in the clean lines of the moon.’ Well poets have the monopoly to scribble so…and Ma’am you’ve done it…ably and its justly…fantastic… 10+ Ms. Nivedita
I read and I became amazed how beautiful the poem is! Magnificent imagery is used like 'Down to the missing buttons on your coat'
