They found each other, a perfect fit like two turtle doves in flight.
When he held her, her heart fluttered with anticipation ever so slight.
Her full red lips where the colour of strawberries and complimented her skin an off white cream.
He gazed at her afraid to break contact like he was captured in a dream.
...

Her hair covered her face, her cheeks flaming red.
He watched her curiously wondering what was going on in her head.
Her whole presence was negative, her aura miserable.
He couldn’t understand how this stunning girl wanted to be invisible.

Did I ever tell you how much you mean to me?
When we’re together I’m your locket and you’re my key.
You become a part of who I am.
You give me hope a feeling of serenity and calm.

As time goes by we all seem to stand still.
Things seem to happen for a reason usually against our will.
We cannot tell which way the wind will blow.
Only that with time starting to stop we begin to slow.

She looked at him, tears spilling for being so naïve.
He watched her, voice breaking with pleading words ‘’please don’t leave.’’
She was torn, in the middle, confused by which road to take.
He knew it wasn’t easy, the decisions he asked her to make.

Will you always remember forever and forever?
Yes I replied forever and forever.
She smiled her smile and looked out to the sea.
I smiled too wondering if this is the happiest I would be.

When two unknowns pass each other they don’t exchange a look.
This loss of communication is where loneliness can get us stuck.
We move unconsciously and keep on moving.
It’s only in later years when we need compassion we know we’re losing.

Sparkling high above, the star winks at the moon
Glowing back, the moon plays its own, silent lullaby tune
Meeting in the darkness the sky is like their own private date
Not quite understanding why they meet every night, secretly imagining it has to do with fate

Why did you leave me when I needed you the most?
Knowing I’d search high and low, from ocean to ocean and from coast to coast

Together

They found each other, a perfect fit like two turtle doves in flight.
When he held her, her heart fluttered with anticipation ever so slight.
Her full red lips where the colour of strawberries and complimented her skin an off white cream.
He gazed at her afraid to break contact like he was captured in a dream.

His arms where protective, his torso wrapped around her strong.
To him she was perfection; he couldn’t find a flaw, not one thing wrong.
The wind whispered with fragrances of honeysuckle and vanilla swirls.
They danced like floating on air, mesmerizing in twirls.

They cradled each other their bodies intertwined as one.
Everything around them disappeared all except the warmth of the rising sun.
