The Dance

Too long ago, when the world was a child,
When innocence sauntered, and power ran wild.
As the hearbeats of men kept the time of a lady,
I remember you then, as the picture's remaining.

I danced with an angel, I, crush velvet adorned.
Blue eyes that enchanted like never before,
Dark hair I ran my fingertips through,
Throughout all my dreams, I have lived for you.

I remember the ballroom, your coquettish stance,
While this moment will fail me, I hold on to the dance.
When music ran through me with primitive rage,
