It always bows down to me
Just to give me shade
I wish it could come to tea
To taste the cakes I made
Why is it in the danger?
Of the axe and the saw
It is not a stranger
With it's many a sandy paw
The tree bear pretty flowers
Of whom there are many lovers
I wish it would come to tea
Just the tree and me!
Good write Risha. I like this very much. One day it may just appear for a cup of tea, just be prepared :) .
Yes Risha; keep bringing in trees, the flowers, birds and butterflies the way you see them; into your poems

I enjoyed reading this wonderful poem. It was really nice, and when I read it, I felt I was next to the tree having tea.
A very beautiful idea, Risha. I'm sure the tree would love your cakes and give you some extra shade the next time you sit under its branches. Thanks for making me smile on a grey day. Magda
A tree for tea, well bless me there is a Novelty sounds a bit barking to me... Risha
