फ़ुटपाथ से निकली हुई हर चीज़
घटिया नहीं होती
कुछ किताबें मैंने यहीं से खरीदीं
इनमे शामिल हैं
‘ए डे इन द लाइफ़ ऑफ़ ईवान
देनिसोविच' और
‘कैंसर वार्ड' जो सोलज़ेनित्सिन
द्वारा रची गई हैं
लियो टॉलस्टॉय की ‘वॉर एंड पीस'
इन सब के साथ
‘एनसाइक्लोपीडिया ऑफ़ आर्ट'
तथा अन्यान्य
इंग्लिश, हिंदी और उर्दू पुस्तकें
जो हैं अद्वितीय
और बेशकीमती संस्करण वाली
आप ही बतलाइये
फुटपाथ का अधिकार है किस पर-
धिक्कार या सम्मान पर?
कोई शख्स फुटपाथ से उठ कर
शिखर तक पहुंचे
किन नज़रों से देखेंगे आप उसे
धिक्कार या सम्मान से?
I purchsed books from footpath more old editions copies now unavailable in the stores.Like the poem.
Rajnish ji, this is a touching poem about the book sellers of the footpath. As you have rightly pointed out, in no way, we can underestimate them. In Mumbai, there are plenty of footpath book sellers. I enjoying looking at these books and buying from them. A good subject for a poem.10++

I too have purchased so many books from the footpath. Even I got books band in the country. We should respect the sellers sitting on the footpath.
