पहेलियाँ कवि नाम की (12) M L C
पिता नन्दलाल का माखन भी लाल है
‘युगचरण' इनके ‘समर्पण' का थाल है
‘पुष्प की अभिलाषा' में देश का ख्याल है
ऊँचा इनके नाम से ही हिंदी का भाल है
चार चार वेदों की नाम में मिसाल है
कवि का नाम बताइये ये सरल सवाल है! !

A riddle poem (this tradition I think is not found in English poems, or so I think) beautifully made with one rhyme all through, on poet Makhanlal Chaturvedi. His Hindi poem Pushpa ki abhilaasha being so well known.
Nad ki peyalion mod ki le sura geet ke tar taron uthi cha gai, Pran ke bag mein preet ki pankhini kook uthi savere ke main aa gai. Makhan Lal chaturvedi ke geet kanon mein ras gholte hayn. Badi hi sunder paheli likhi hay apne.
Answer of Makhanlal Chaturvedi ji is very nice in this paheli. Among four vedas the cream is drawn wisely. Very interesting definitely. Excellent...10
