A Birthday Prayer Poem by LeeAnn Azzopardi

A Birthday Prayer

Rating: 5.0

Command me O'Lord
To be gentle and comforting
And not to be tired and selfish
For my eyes are dimmed with tears
And I am almost blind and deaf to yr heart
But my soul craves rest and nourishment from yr Word
For the eternal desire to be with you is strong
Pleas don't let me perish in the undying hellholes
As I have many sins
And please surpass these transgressions
Let me in for I ask for forgiveness and penance
So, I can return to my father's arms

Let the birthday come every year to ask forgiveness from God Let the birthday come every year to be pious for the future But Let the birthday not come every year to do crime and ask forgiveness again and again!

What a superb lovely appealing supplication poem on a birthday, soulful and we all return to God one day. Kudos.

Ooooh, sorry I missed your birthday, my friend! I hope you had a good one, and this is a beautiful poem/prayer, appropriate for a person of any religion or no religion at all but who believes in a Supreme Being.

Nicely composed. On birthday such repentance does makes sense. At 50 you are starting afresh again. Birthday wishes again.
