A Call At Midnight Poem by Sanjib Das

A Call At Midnight

Rating: 4.1

I heard a call at midnight,
Being frightened, I pressed my pillow tight.
Again the voice called me by name,
I considered the ghost or the same.

The voice came near and near,
In my mind, I felt fear.
Suddenly, someone knocked at the door,
I became frightened more.

The door had been broken,
I was shaken.
Two hands embraced me affectionately,
I accepted it dearly.

I awoke from my dream with a feeling,
I found myself below my bed in the morning.
