A Husband's Fate ...[ Response To A Poem By Lora Colon; Short; Marriage; Humor ]

Rating: 4.0

When a woman offers a man her 'heart',
that man should beware...from the start.
Her heart comes with 'Strings Attached', &
when then, onto him, she' has TIGHTLY-latched,
his life WILL become a mountain of.....TROUBLES.

No longer will he bowl with "the guys". 'Not'.
"They" will join a Female-&-Male bowling league.

His then EMPTY hammock will sit and just slowly rot.
Instead of leisure, he'll develop 'retirees chronic fatigue',

and "she" will 'drive him crazy', "Bursting ALL OF his BUBBLES".

'Tis 'our' fate, guys.

This is a terrific poem, Bri. My obsesrvation may not be directly about the conent, but your words inspire me to realize...the older I get, the more I realize that even resting causes fatigue. A great verse, Bri. And Happy New Year!

A bond between husband and wife needs to have strings to hold together but if that is strangulating that means it's time to discuss it. Togetherness and distance have to be equally balanced in this relationship in order to keep the relationship juicer and healthy otherwise what you described will really be born.
