# A Mind, Body And Soul Poem by Samanyan Lakshminarayanan

# A Mind, Body And Soul

Rating: 5.0

without knowing
who i am
without knowing
my role here
unlike my body
my mind fears
unlike my body
which feels at home
with the air around
with all forces befriended
my body feels stable
and at home
my mind
not knowing
it is the source of all
everything is it's making
without knowing
it is the pivot of all
my mind fears

body-
a natural animal
mind -
a human in the making
to find the soul

It is a truth that a restless, fearful and anxious mind cannot present a sound body. A body at rest and in easiness can present a calm, poised mind. Our rishis were remarkable in their mental posture and we forget that they were in long penance within the stillness of body. For years together, they did not move an inch with their body. If they could not bring their bodies within this limit, they could never have had this mental concentration. Watch our people around us. Wherever they are restless in their bodies, to that extend, their mental stillness also get affected. Body requirement is most to get a good mental posture.
