far away from the lights.
A little dream has crossed.
It is evening –
The sun has seen
feebleness
in the river
like an old man
whom death has made hunched
or like a friend who
after being distant
shyly
confesses guilt
wants reconciliation.
It is late
for writing the history
of that sun
which rose in the morning
between the trees
smiling to greet you
then set early –
you didn’t know
you wouldn’t see it again.
Most of the small things
are forgotten
but not those far horizons
and the not knowing
what was beyond.
Feebleness! ! Forgiveness, Muse of life; Living. Thanks for sharing this poem with us.
Quiet night brings memories of old friends but with time relationship changes. Sun reminds us to take life in a happy stride as it rises and fades away. Very nice contemplative poem.
Dear poet Savita..I hope you have enjoyed my humble poem..yes you are right some times things are going wrong..but the change with the human behaviour is more dramaric and sad...thank you for your lovely comment
The depthness of Soran's poems is always there despite repeated readings. There is always mystery embedded in every word he had woven.
- - -10++++++ and you know what? I think I will surprise you by putting it on my fav shelf with all its brother and sister Soran poems! ! ! ! ! ! !
- - - -> It's not that often that I can't say " I saw that coming" and I approve of this taking me unaware... kind of like life does.... the beauty and delight of the sun in the morning could not be written better- - you didn’t know you wouldn’t see it again- - -that was so abrupt and startling and heart-rending........ this is excellent poetry, Soran
