A Second Chance - Poem by tammie love

God must have been listening
He gave me a second chance
Just a few months ago
I almost had other plans
I've repented and I prayed
It was hard saying goodbye
Goodbye to a spirit that
Didn’t reach its first cry
I almost hit rock bottom-but
I picked myself back up-the
Way that I was living, was
Bullshit and it sucked!
Now I'm living for me, doing
Better for myself
Meeting people from all over-
Making money for my families wealth
I want to see the world, and
All it has to offer
I'm in Texas now-mainly
Because of my daughter
This doesn't seem real, who ever
Would have known, I'd have
An exciting future ahead-
Doing things on my own
God is watching over me
I thank him in advance
He must have been listening
He gave me a second chance
