Amara me! - ti dico -

Suicide - Poem by Pearl Monametsi
.
Taking it one step @ a time
Was the aim,
But when things got tough,
You decide to take a rope,
Up the tree u climb and tie it
The leaves smile and the branches ask you what you are doing,
You tell them that u are going to a better place
Bitter me I tell you,
I have been to hell and back
Backing up my story are scars showing that hell aint no fun,
Funny how we take life for granted,
The branches break to set u free
And the scars remain
You suddenly remember,
'the aim was to take one step @ a time'
But now its too late
6 feet under u remain....
[Pearl Monametsi]
Stark realism and truthful. I too have been to and back. Not quite back either.
