A Welcome Change Poem by Indira Renganathan

A Welcome Change

Rating: 5.0

This day of the monsoon season with no rains at all
Looks not like a bright summer day either but dull
Like a sorrowful day with mosquitoes mourning the death
Of man's every drop of blood with their biting song

Tomorrow a change might come and it may pour with mirth
Whereat my heart 'll sit to sing the happy rainy day song
Thanking the freshening rain for killing the sorrow dull
Wishing every day and morrow the bestest of the best all

COMMENTS OF THE POEM

The words of the poetess like the will of a thirsty hornbill who has been waiting for the rainy season reflects the despair on the rain that stops raining quite unexpectedly. Beautiful

Here in my place, it is evening. It rains thunderstorm. You need not go out. Just relax over a cup of hot tea and a few cookies. Enjoyed your piece
