A Whimsical Dream
Poetry is an excuse to dream.....
When whims like wild flowers out of the void bloom
When emotions go off like ripe fruits from a tree
And heart swims like a swan down river!
As I configure words saying beyond what can't be said
I long to become an Ali Baba with the magic mantra
‘Open Sesame' to unlock hearts lying shut
With my feet on the ground and my head in the stars
Oh! The queer dream of a poet...! Do you see?

Emotion goes off like ripe fruits. Configuring words a poet expresses his thought amazingly with beauty of his natural perception. The dream of a poet wonders us wandering in stars and far galaxy. A poet's dream is rich in both imagery and imagination. An excellent poem is very beautifully penned with interesting sequence....10
I do agree with you on poetry as an excuse to dream...but epic poetry all over the world, don't they stand as a proof of history and culture where the poets can dream to present the true facts only....always your style of writing has a magic....kudos Valsa
