Rebecca Moore

Abandoned - Poem by Rebecca Moore

A girl of 13
Lived as a foster
And never knew the real world life
Home after home
Family after family
And yet she continued
To a new foster till she was wanted
She began to think that she’d die
Old and unwanted
She had manners and love to give
But no one accepted and she was scolded
But as she was thrown deeper into the pit
A loving hand grabbed her out
And as she was taken with love
She’d found freedom with hope
And family
A girl born as a foster
Found a home forever
