Across The Miles

My love for you is a bird in spring

The coral reefs across the continents
are restless in their bending shore

My longing is for the slow return
of the sounds of your footsteps, and
for autumn in its last remnant
green memory turning to another shade.

The days are bitter without you beside
and my eyes long to hear your voice.
There will be another spring again;
with the bounty and galore of our
warm embrace that will echo in song,
I Am MISSING You CONSTANTLY,
