A time of change, a time of growth,
Adolescence brings a journey of both,
A time of wonder, a time of fear,
As we navigate the path that's near.
With raging hormones and a restless mind,
Adolescence is a quest to find,
Who we are and who we'll be,
As we journey towards maturity.
The world is new, with things to learn,
And in this phase, we start to yearn,
For independence, for our own space,
As we try to find our rightful place.
Friends become a vital part,
As we navigate the social art,
Finding our tribe, our community,
As we seek to find our identity.
But amidst the joys, there can be pain,
As adolescence can be hard to contain,
With struggles that seem hard to explain,
And emotions that can't be restrained.
Yet through it all, we learn to grow,
And with each step, we begin to know,
That adolescence is a season to sow,
As we become the person we'll show.
So embrace this phase, with all its strife,
For adolescence is the journey of life,
A time to learn, a time to thrive,
As we embark on the path of life.
Those vital years were important then and even more today. Well captured. Reminiscing mine, reliving my kids (they're adults now) and preparing for my grandkids (oldest almost ten) I'll keep a copy of this poem handy
Read this poem with interest. Appreciated what the poet sums up at the end. Top score.
