Advice For Harper Poem by LeeAnn Azzopardi

Advice For Harper

Rating: 5.0

The joyous noise you bring
Only serves in my happiness
As I wish to spend time teaching you
The things that Grandma doesn't like to explain
For example, swearing in our native tongue
Telling the truth about boys
And girly things like yr cycle
Because she doesn't like to discuss
For she's embarressed
Kid, I am only a great aunt
But I am a hell more fun than she

This is such a heart-warming poem about communication between aunt and niece. It has everything going for it: charm, humour and life lessons. LeeAnn, your poem started off my day in such a great way! THANKS!
