Albert Einstein 22 - Annalen Der Physik Poem by Geeta Radhakrishna Menon

Albert's first scientific paper was published
In a German Science Journal named
"Annalen Der Physik" in 1901, titled -
"Conclusions drawn from the Phenomena of Capillarity".
There followed many other research articles of Einstein
That got published in this Journal, one after the other.

It is a known fact that Albert ran away
From his school in Germany, during his last year,
To join his parents in Italy, quite fed up with his school life.
Later, he moved to Switzerland for his higher education,
Wherein he relinquished his German citizenship
And eventually, became a Swiss citizen.

When Albert began to write research and review articles,
It was this German Journal ‘ Annalen der Physik'
That welcomed his articles and published them.
‘Annalen Der Physik' was well known
As a prestigious science Journal that published
Research papers of high quality and scholarship.

It is an undisputed fact
That it is due to Einstein's published works
In German Journal - ‘Annalen Der Physik'
That his work came to be noticed
By scientists, physicists far and wide,
And captured the attention of scholars.

Einstein's all five major Physics papers
Termed as ‘Miracles' were published
By ‘Annalen Der Physik',
That proved Albert as a budding genius,
That discovered his exceptional abilities,
And his work of profound discoveries!

Strange are the ways of destiny.
Sometimes, the more you run away from a place,
The more you are pulled back to the same place.
You may not wish for it but curiously enough,
You land back into the same place, amply rewarded.
Einstein was back amidst German scholars with much honour and prestige!
