An Angel Goes To Bed - Poem by Uriah Hamilton

It is raining
In Detroit tonight.
It makes you think
God has
No sense of time.
Somewhere in the world
There is a girl
Who should have
Her forehead kissed
Before she falls asleep

Oh Uriah..I am sure that all the angels are watching over this poem...you make me sad and happy at the same tame..I have never thought about Gods timing that way I am sure that He has his reasons..Such a painfully beautiful poem from you-Pia (Report) Reply

I love this as much for what it doesn't say as for what it does. Beautifully succinct!

As gentle and soothing as the falling rain. Heaven must truly smile on this one, Uriah.

    Warm regards,

What a beautifully tender poem Uriah. I think the kiss to the forehead is such a delicate touch...I love that. It gives such a sense of security (I'm not sure why) . As you know it's been raining here for the last couple days...it comforts me to know you and I are sharing this same rain. Very nice work Uriah. Sincerely, Mary (Report) Reply
