An Extraterrestrial Experience
Oh, poor poets!
Lost in their idealistic fog,
Their verses reaching summits
That never in reality, will log.
But it really doesn't matter
Because for a few ecstatic minutes
They will have left this planet,
And lived,
Beyond all imaginable, Limits!

I am a little embarrassed to admit it, but I have cried after reading some things I have written.
Only those who have struggled with words for days, weeks and some times even for months towards having a perfect poem, would know how thrilling it is to accomplish what one had in mind. I have had this experience and it was truly ecstatic at the end. Thanks Sandra for sharing the inspiring poem.
