Apartment 2b - Poem by Ricky Bryant

A scream fills the halls of an apartment on Main.
A young man has put a bullet through his brain.
His friends and his family questioning why.
He had always seemed like a really great guy.
A good job, and good home, loved his dog and his car.
Just to look at him you'd know he was meant to go far.
But now they zip up the bag and roll him away.
His neighbors watch on, with nothing to say.
There were no signs that anything was wrong.
Aside that he'd been away from home for to long.
He really was a very outgoing guy.
If you passed in the halls he would always say hi.
Now his life's been cut short for reasons unknown.
The lower his casket, now his new home.
Now his family must deal with this tragedy.
When he ended his life in apartment 2B.

Suicide is no joke. It happens more then you think and a lot of time there are no warning signs. Always keep your friends close and know what's going on with them. Help them through the hard times. Pick them up when they fall. Get them help if they need it. If you're the one that needs help, don't be afraid to ask. There are plenty of services and people out there who care for your well being.
