At ' Sea You Beach Bar ',25 September 2015 - Poem by Mihaela Pirjol

Boredom in the presence of thalassic harmony...
When a heart is trained in atrophying,
Perceives the overwhelming natural beauty
As a defiance to the human senses;
For its incapability to immerse into it.

The interior mirror reflects itself;
Altering the perception of reality.
And that is when you think of Love:
Portal to the sublime, unmotivated bliss;
Wondering at the shadow of a thought
Questioning your heart: if it should ever
Be revived from its tranquilization.

You sit among radiant faces, gazing at the sunset
With the joy of living in their eyes;
And instinctively, you are determined to look around you;
But all that you can see is—children—only children:
What sign is this? is Fate again interfering in your life?
And you tell yourself: "Nonsense! You only see what
You want to see! "

And that is when you find the answer
To your innermost, unspoken question;
That is when Fate becomes your companion,
And you don't execrate it anymore.

Then, you observe the child playing on the beach,
And take delight in how the sun is glowing in his blonde hair;
While in the background, the saxophonist starts playing:
"The Girl from Ipanema" —and suddenly, smiling,
You think to yourself: I am happy again!
But Love...Romance...

Then you sip your ruby-wine joyfully, with memories
Dancing before your eyes, while the sun
Is gently kissing the ocean—a fire is slowly melting
In a calm sensuality along with your memories.
You look around smiling, and think to yourself:
I feel alive again!
