Authenticity To Be Admired
Bette Davis
The Actress Queen,
Could make you feel
Everyone she played
As real,
Because she did not act
But emotionally lived
Every character she played
Like no one else could
Or ever would.
We have to be grateful,
Authenticity is rare!
And artists like her
That can leave
Such positive imprints
May not realize
The very great gift
They give and leave,
Please, don't forget her.
One of my favorite movies was Hush, Hush, Sweet Charlotte, starring Bette Davis. You have penned a marvelous tribute to her. Thank you!
