Best Thing I Never Had
You are the best thing that I never had
Thoughts of you almost drive me mad
To never know what could have been
Were you real or were you a dream
And have you ever wondered too
If such a dream we could ever do
Caught up in a lover's fine web
Loving someone else, instead
Giving but never really getting
Just to fill some kind of a void
No emotions, just simply settling
For real love somehow to avoid
'the best thing I never had'..you really hit the nail on this one...it's sad but laughable at the same time.. because what can one do in the end... laugh or die crying!
