Can You Love A Mad Man?
Everyone loves
a love poet
who is intelligent
and attractive.
But darling,
can you love a madman,
crazy and delirious,
in the middle of another manic episode?
Can you love a madman,
sane and detached,
when he is on his medication?
If you can't,
if you can't,
please leave him
alone, so that he,
and his deranged soul,
can at least, be free.
Yes, you can love anyone but in this case it would not be wise to become to intimate

It is... and one of the goal of some of my poems is to change the negative stigma around mental illness since I too am a diagnosed schizophrenic... lol
