Child -The Innocent One - Poem by pushpasaurabha sugandha

The child, the progeny is valuable than money
God has given this fruit, along with milk and honey
She is a girl and apple of everybody’s eyes
Is very nice and likes to play the game of six dice

She is now small with her hair curled
And she knows nothing about the mad bad world
The child is all truth and innocent
The best gift God has chosen and sent

She is bold and very bright
Knows not what is wrong and right
Her heart is pure and hands so clean
The actions for sure are not at all mean

Her call “mamma” to me is so precious
Her walk and talk are also gracious
With questions many, she is curious
At work and study she is also serious

Oh what a boon it is to be a child
To be mild and at times a little wild
When I watch her I want back my childhood
God has compensated me by way of my motherhood.

The child in this world is a very important link
With cheeks so chubby and colour pink
There is so much from the child to learn
Which is more precious than what you earn

Time flies fast and she at the same rate grows
With grasp of all things she brightly glows
This is the way of life’s normal rule
All of us need to follow and be cool.
