O God! You have swept down into the brown earth,
With a sudden sheet of white snowy glitz,
A silvery sheen covered like a white magic carpet,
A heavenly sheet of lustre and magnificence.
Where are the green trees and leaves?
Where are the red and yellow fruits?
O God! You have covered them with a glistening attire,
They now, look like frozen fairies, with their wings glazed.
You are clever to create a variety of forms and shapes on ice,
Gleaming patterns of white floral structures and designs,
Glossy crystals that are star shaped, symmetrical like star flakes,
Columns, cups, spools, hexagonal plates and needles! O God!
As I walk through the icy path of life, shaking and shivering,
O God! Do cheer my path with your love and guidance,
Please bring warmth and strength into my hands and legs,
That I may continue to smile with a warm glow in my heart!
Mesmerizing manifestations of nature in celebration of the advent of Christmas have been captured in the special Christmas carol. Thanks for sharing.5 stars for the cheerful presentation.
You have an eye for beauty, Geeta! You find it in things great and small! Tis easy to wax eloquent about spring but it takes sheer talent like yours to weave such a luscious poem about the icy cold! ! ! ! Top marks!
white snowy glitz.... like a white magic carpet, trees and leaves.... look like frozen fairies.... //....This is an awesome scenery created by the poet with her hand-picked words with warmth of the heart. Moreover, the poem transforms the entire atmosphere into 'A heavenly sheet of lustre and magnificence'. It also holds a very sublime prayer 'O God! Do cheer my path with your love and guidance'. Thanks, Geeta ji, for sharing this lovely piece of poetry.
