Coffin - Poem by Laura Dunne

The coffin that encloses me
embraces my broken soul
it can stand against the winds of time
never lets me become alive
i can see out of this coffin i have built
but all anyone else can see
is a coffin sprung from guilt

The shadows of a broken girl
cast over my newfound home
echo's of her playing with the boys
she grows before my eyes
and i wish i was her muse
to help her become more than
a broken soul in her own coffin built
