I know the fate of the world
I know the dreams of the oppressed
I know the cures reveal new maladies
I know futility
In the revelry, we hoist ourselves as God
Manifesting His hand in healing-
Moving mountains-
Those flags on lunar plains
Coalesced from dreams
Inspiration takes root
It is our means of expression
Defining
I know the fate of the world
Because I believe in last chapters
Because I’ve seen it in your blue eyes
Crying
My Father, what has downward passed?
When the trees blossom
In graveyards of heroes
And the cannons stand cocked
I know.
I know.
The conductor raises his wand
Over the crosses of Arlington –
Animate me as they sleep
Beneath a summer storm

'Because I believe in last chapters Because I’ve seen it in your blue eyes Crying' I write poetry because of lines like these.... I want to write as good as this... I try and write as good as this.... If I fail, as I often do..... At least I can read and enjoy and be lifted by reading poetry like this. A word................ awesome.
is the fate of the world written in a neverending score? brings to mind images of futility and balence. very nice! -phoebe
