Dawn Poem by Unnikrishnan Sivasankara Menon

Dawn

Rating: 5.0

Sun still rises on the sea
the Easterlies flow over the city
the sea continues to lash at the beach
and the dawn fails yet again
to conceal her frolicful smile.

Easterlies or Trade Winds are are powerful winds that blow from the east across the tropics. They start from the sub-tropical high-pressure areas and move towards the equatorial low-pressure belt.

Sunrise on Marina Beach is an unforgettable experience. Comparable only to the view of Sunrise from Tiger Hills in Darjeeling
