I believe in yr dream
Yr dream of all people are equal
I, also, want everyone to be judged
On their character
But there's still some people are
Still holding nineteenth century feelings
Toward you
I never could understand why they don't think
You could be as intelligent as them
You can be anything you want as you are
I am ashamed to be white
I'll try to stop the racist rhetoric with my poetry
And my actions
This is my promise to you
...........all people are equal....... wonderful write....great concept throughout.....thanks for sharing....
A fitting tribute to a great man. And yes its sad that people still carry prejudice in rheir hearts more so younger generations.
Wonderful write, LeeAnn. Martin Luther King was a great crusader against racism. But, His dream continues yet a dream. My poem "Mother of Emmet Till" could interest you. Thank you.5 *

A very heartwarming poem/letter/prayer/promise to one of the greatest leaders of our time. We'll hold you to that promise, LeeAnn. I too have been doing that with my poetry and my walk the talk.
