Dear Elizabeth Bishop Poem by LeeAnn Azzopardi

Dear Elizabeth Bishop

Rating: 5.0

After a week-long sleep
I finally got a chance to write
So, if I sound little weird
I am still sleep
Anyway, I did watch that
Mini-documentary on you
At midnight, last night
And felt helpless because
I still wanted to sleep
Though, the timimg was off
And I had trouble with the internet
But I watched with a profound interest
I'm glad you found the love of yr life
But that will never happen to me
I am stubbon and the lost
Of my parents has wrapped my heart
With razorblades
You are not the master of losing
I, am the reigning queen
You found fame--and love
I am left with doubt of my future
Or question will be: should I end my career now?
Anyway, this is just a note
No need to reply
