Desh Ki Dhadkan Poem by Drishika Shah

Desh Ki Dhadkan

Rating: 5.0

Seven colors in the rainbow, together they stay.
Seven days in a week, together are weaved.
Seven ragas in music, do they ever go astray?
Seven decades of freedom, what have we achieved?

One feels sorry for the tears the nation has shed,
And all the struggles its children have endured.
But thanks to all that, the nation stands united,
Love and harmony, between us, have flowered.

Freedom is never the license to rape or to kill.
It isn't about violence or the mad urge to win.
Freedom is about giving, starving bellies to fill.
It's about caring for all like they are your kin.

We got freedom, but we need to honor it for all
Remember, they say, pride goes before a fall.
