Designation empowers, character brings respect,
The title may elevate, but integrity to reflect,
Position may bring authority and might,
Yet it's character that shines in the light.
For power is transient, and can fade away,
But respect earned through character will always stay,
Designation may open doors and pave the way,
But character sustains and guides each day.
A title may grant privilege and control,
But character determines the depth of one's soul,
True strength lies not in a lofty position,
But in the values upheld without condition.
Character builds bridges and fosters trust,
It stands firm when power turns to dust,
For while designation may grant temporary sway,
It's character that endures, come what may.
So strive for both, with equal measure,
Embrace the power, but let character be your treasure.
For in the end, it's not the title that defines,
But the strength of character that truly shines.
